It’s been a non-stop day of Rockets games with our players and coaches busy representing the club.

First up this morning, our Under 18s travelled to Frankley down 3 players to the dreaded lurgy. In a tight game throughout the team created plenty of turnovers but struggled to convert offensively and despite a brave effort were disappointed to lose 55-52 to the hosts.

The Under 16 Premier team were also in early action at Northants Titans. Coach Bradshaw was left bemoaning a soft underbelly from the team who scored well but struggled to stop the Titans succumbing to a 113-74 defeat.

Our minis brought some cheer to the day with 4 wins from 4 in their triangular tournament at Bournville with all 14 players getting lots of playing time too.

It was another tight encounter for our very young Under 14 Regional team who held off a late Shropshire Warriors surge to win 66-63 in the first home game of the day at Heartlands.

The Under 15 YBL team claimed a 20-0 win due to the late withdrawal from the game by Coventry Tornadoes. A frustration for Coach Branch who was keen to see the team in match action.

Rockets Under 18 Girls team has a tough day at the office suffering a home loss against Solent Kestrels.

Finishing off the junior games for the day was another handsome win for the Under 14 Premier who maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Last but certainly not least this evening saw a fine 30 point road win for the Rockets Senior team on the road at Nottingham Hoods after a 2 week break as they move to a 5&2 record on the season in Division 4 Midlands.

That wraps up the day’s games – thanks to all coaches, players, volunteers and parents for your support during an action packed Saturday!
